The Most Important Meal of the Day

Jess Anderson, 12 Aug 1999

Robert Coren: We keep anywhere from 5 to 7 varieties of breakfast cereal open at the same time; how boring would life be if one ate the same kind of cereal every day?

John Gintell: You didn't explain how we have a strict rotation scheme so that all cereals get a fair chance; that because of the arrangement of shelves and the lack of medium-term memory, we have to move every single box each day; and the difficulty when bringing new boxes home of deciding where in the order to place them.

Yes folks, you read it right here on soc.motss: this is what long-term couples do to rechannel the energies that would otherwise be taken up with devising ways to send a partner home to mother for a week, mixing up their sox, or simply putting a dirk in one another's back. Ritual: how to save a marriage, on the next Oprah.
