You can't seem to do anything about die-hard bigots. I've never met anyone who could talk a Klansman into taking off his sheet, nor a fundy into giving up a monolithic reading of the Bible. But I hope you can do something about people suffering from a mild case of bigotry. It might help for them to see the true nature of hatred. This may be truly naive of me, but I believe many moderate people would not adhere to their mild, "curable" homophobia if they'd been locked in a room for half an hour with people who spout raps like "Fags should be shot. Anyway, I culled 42 representatively homophobic posts from groups ranging from alt.sex.motss to comp.sys.amiga.advocacy and organized them by category. (I left all spelling, grammar, punctuation, etc. as I found it. I didn't have the energy to write "sic" after each novel construction.) Hold your noses, here we go:

(1) Yes, it is. God clearly states, MANY TIMES, that homosexuality is wrong. Genesis and Leviticus, for example, are two books of the Bible that deal with this issue. And in the New Testament, Jesus again says it is wrong. Look it up if you don't believe me.
(2) All I have to say in response to your posting is that either you're not a Christian, or you actually haven't read the WHOLE Bible. You probably skipped over Romans 1:?. It specifically says that gays are disobeying God and they deserve to die.

(1) Anyways...so, a minor calculation, seems to me that 90% of the USA population is hetero. And the last time I checked the Constitution of the good ol` US of A, the majority rules. So the 10% queer population is just going to have to deal with the fact that they are inferior to the rest of us. No, I am not a Bible-bashing Christian (am an atheist, actually). Nor am I a homophobe. I have no fear or hated of gays, as long as they realize what their place is in our society. If the majority says that you are wrong, it may not be necessairily right or morally correct, but it is a fact of life, so just deal with it, change your ways, or 'go back in the closet', as the saying goes.
(2) As to Kurds, blacks, and whatever other minority names that were dragged up in reply to my first post...*shrug* oh well. The strong survive, and the weak are ruled by the strong, or else they are overrun.
