Most of you don't know me, since I haven't been on the Net long and have only posted here once or twice.
Rob Bernardo was a longtime and special friend. We met in a CR group in 1972 and together helped form The Velvet Hammer, a gay men's collective house in Ithaca in 1973-74.

I'm finding it's still difficult to write a eulogy for Rob. So for now I'm just posting the obituary that appeared in Saturday's and Sunday's New York Times:
